# Yi Tracker vs Pre

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Pre at 50% against Yi Tracker's 0%. Pre also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (10.3 vs 12.0). Yi Tracker's advantage is rating (3.2 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (25 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Yi Tracker holds the better App Store score, 3.2 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Yi Tracker has 25 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Yi Tracker's written reviews are positive against 50% of Pre's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Yi Tracker ships an update every 3 months, Pre every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
