# Super Gravitron vs Monocular Shot

The clearest difference is ads: Super Gravitron at none against Monocular Shot's shown. Super Gravitron also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (6.0 vs 12.0). Monocular Shot's advantage is update cadence (every 8 months vs every 37 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Monocular Shot holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 37 and 13 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Super Gravitron's written reviews are positive against 67% of Monocular Shot's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Super Gravitron ships an update every 37 months, Monocular Shot every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
