# My Video Playlist vs Folder Video+

The clearest difference is rating: Folder Video+ at 4.3 against My Video Playlist's 3.3. Folder Video+ also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). My Video Playlist's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (68% vs 42%). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. My Video Playlist sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Folder Video+ asks for nothing beyond the download.

Folder Video+ holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My Video Playlist has 42 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of My Video Playlist's written reviews are positive against 42% of Folder Video+'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

My Video Playlist ships an update every 6 weeks, Folder Video+ fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
