# Photo Widget vs Recolla

Photo Widget and Recolla both sit at 3.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Recolla's written reviews are positive against 36% of Photo Widget's. Photo Widget's advantage is ratings volume (300 vs 8) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months). On rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Photo Widget costs $0.99 and Recolla $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.9 for Photo Widget against 4.0 for Recolla. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Photo Widget has 300 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 36% of Photo Widget's written reviews are positive against 100% of Recolla's.

Photo Widget ships an update every 2 months, Recolla every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
