# My Widgets vs Custom Widgets

The clearest difference is rating: Custom Widgets at 4.4 against My Widgets's 3.9. Custom Widgets also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 5 weeks). My Widgets's advantage is review sentiment (54% vs 22%) and ratings volume (414 vs 130). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. My Widgets sells 11 one-off in-app purchases and Custom Widgets sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Custom Widgets holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 414 and 130 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of My Widgets's written reviews are positive against 22% of Custom Widgets's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

My Widgets ships an update every 5 weeks, Custom Widgets every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
