# My Widgets vs WidgetCat

The clearest difference is rating: WidgetCat at 5.0 against My Widgets's 3.9. WidgetCat also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks). My Widgets's advantage is ratings volume (414 vs 2) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. My Widgets sells 11 one-off in-app purchases and WidgetCat sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WidgetCat holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My Widgets has 414 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

My Widgets ships an update every 5 weeks, WidgetCat weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
