# My vs PDF Scanner

The clearest difference is ads: My at none against PDF Scanner's shown. My also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (100% vs 82%). PDF Scanner's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.3). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. My sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and PDF Scanner sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PDF Scanner holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 20 and 28 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of My's written reviews are positive against 82% of PDF Scanner's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

My ships an update every 5 weeks, PDF Scanner every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
