# Poloska vs Slit

Poloska and Slit both sit at 4.1 stars, but that hides the real split: 73% of Poloska's written reviews are positive against 45% of Slit's. Slit's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months) and iOS requirement (8.1 vs 15.1). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Slit holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 76 and 64 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Poloska's written reviews are positive against 45% of Slit's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Poloska ships an update every 4 months, Slit every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
