# FieldMap Pro vs Map Canvas

The clearest difference is rating: FieldMap Pro at 5.0 against Map Canvas's 4.5. FieldMap Pro also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.0). Map Canvas's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (100 vs 3). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Map Canvas sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. FieldMap Pro asks for nothing beyond the download.

FieldMap Pro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Map Canvas has 100 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FieldMap Pro ships an update every 2 months, Map Canvas fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 7, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
