# MyEarTraining vs iClef

The clearest difference is price: MyEarTraining at Free against iClef's $2.99. MyEarTraining also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (253 vs 6). iClef's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On review sentiment, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

MyEarTraining is free to download; iClef costs $2.99 up front. MyEarTraining sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. iClef asks for nothing beyond the download.

MyEarTraining holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MyEarTraining has 253 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 93% of MyEarTraining's written reviews are positive against 100% of iClef's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MyEarTraining ships an update every 6 weeks, iClef every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
