# MyEarTraining vs Sight Singing Studio

The clearest difference is ads: Sight Singing Studio at none against MyEarTraining's shown. Sight Singing Studio also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 6 weeks). MyEarTraining's advantage is ratings volume (253 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MyEarTraining sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Sight Singing Studio sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sight Singing Studio holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MyEarTraining has 253 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MyEarTraining ships an update every 6 weeks, Sight Singing Studio every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
