# MyEarTraining vs Symphonium

The clearest difference is rating: MyEarTraining at 4.8 against Symphonium's 3.4. MyEarTraining also leads on ratings volume (252 vs 5). Symphonium's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MyEarTraining sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Symphonium sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MyEarTraining holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MyEarTraining has 252 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 93% of MyEarTraining's written reviews are positive against 100% of Symphonium's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MyEarTraining ships an update every 6 weeks, Symphonium every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
