# MyEarTraining vs Clefs

The clearest difference is ads: Clefs at none against MyEarTraining's shown. Clefs also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). MyEarTraining's advantage is ratings volume (252 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MyEarTraining sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Clefs sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Clefs holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MyEarTraining has 252 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MyEarTraining ships an update every 6 weeks, Clefs weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
