# Teachers Grade Book vs Attendance Tracker

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Teachers Grade Book at 100% against Attendance Tracker's 44%. Teachers Grade Book also leads on monetization model (free vs subscription) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16). Attendance Tracker's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (411 vs 3). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Teachers Grade Book sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Attendance Tracker sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Attendance Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Attendance Tracker has 411 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Teachers Grade Book's written reviews are positive against 44% of Attendance Tracker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Teachers Grade Book ships an update every 3 months, Attendance Tracker every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
