# Champion vs Bracket Maker

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Champion at 65% against Bracket Maker's 0%. Champion also leads on ratings volume (560 vs 85) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.2). Bracket Maker's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Champion sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Bracket Maker sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bracket Maker holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Champion has 560 ratings behind it against 85, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Champion's written reviews are positive against 0% of Bracket Maker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Champion ships an update fortnightly, Bracket Maker monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
