# EZVIZ vs Xpy Watch

The clearest difference is ads: Xpy Watch at none against EZVIZ's shown. Xpy Watch also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.1). EZVIZ's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 18 months) and ratings volume (30K vs 66). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for EZVIZ against 4.7 for Xpy Watch. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EZVIZ has 30K ratings behind it against 66, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 71% of EZVIZ's written reviews are positive against 50% of Xpy Watch's.

EZVIZ ships an update fortnightly, Xpy Watch every 18 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
