# Smart Steps Mobile vs Co

The clearest difference is rating: Smart Steps Mobile at 4.3 against Co's 2.6. Co's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and ratings volume (17 vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Smart Steps Mobile holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Co has 17 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Smart Steps Mobile's written reviews are positive against 8% of Co's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Smart Steps Mobile ships an update every 8 months, Co every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
