# Feedback Recorder vs Mic Test

The clearest difference is rating: Mic Test at 4.3 against Feedback Recorder's 3.6. Mic Test also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (81 vs 10). Feedback Recorder's advantage is review sentiment (56% vs 27%) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Feedback Recorder sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Mic Test sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mic Test holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mic Test has 81 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of Feedback Recorder's written reviews are positive against 27% of Mic Test's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Feedback Recorder ships an update every 2 months, Mic Test monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
