# Battery Testing vs Amperes Battery Charging Lite

The clearest difference is update cadence: Battery Testing at fortnightly against Amperes Battery Charging Lite's every 2 months. Battery Testing also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (12K vs 560). Amperes Battery Charging Lite's advantage is review sentiment (36% vs 23%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Battery Testing sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Amperes Battery Charging Lite sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Battery Testing holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Battery Testing has 12K ratings behind it against 560, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 23% of Battery Testing's written reviews are positive against 36% of Amperes Battery Charging Lite's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Battery Testing ships an update fortnightly, Amperes Battery Charging Lite every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
