# Battery Testing vs MyAmpere

The clearest difference is rating: Battery Testing at 4.5 against MyAmpere's 2.9. Battery Testing also leads on ratings volume (12K vs 8) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). MyAmpere's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Battery Testing sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. MyAmpere asks for nothing beyond the download.

Battery Testing holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Battery Testing has 12K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 23% of Battery Testing's written reviews are positive against 37% of MyAmpere's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Battery Testing ships an update fortnightly, MyAmpere every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
