# KW3 vs Microphone Live

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: KW3 at none against Microphone Live's 6. KW3 also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). Microphone Live's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.0) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Microphone Live sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. KW3 asks for nothing beyond the download.

Microphone Live holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Microphone Live has 5.1K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 60% of KW3's written reviews are positive against 63% of Microphone Live's.

KW3 ships an update every 3 months, Microphone Live every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
