# Express Password Manager vs mSecure

The clearest difference is rating: mSecure at 4.8 against Express Password Manager's 1.0. mSecure also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (51K vs 2). Express Password Manager's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 62%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Express Password Manager sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and mSecure sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

mSecure holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: mSecure has 51K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Express Password Manager's written reviews are positive against 62% of mSecure's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
