# Twisted Worlds vs Detectives

The clearest difference is ads: Detectives at none against Twisted Worlds's shown. Detectives also leads on ratings volume (1.2K vs 206). Twisted Worlds's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Twisted Worlds sells 13 one-off in-app purchases and Detectives sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Twisted Worlds against 4.5 for Detectives. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Detectives has 1.2K ratings behind it against 206, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 87% of Twisted Worlds's written reviews are positive against 85% of Detectives's.

Twisted Worlds ships an update monthly, Detectives every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on August 22, 2026 and September 20, 2026 respectively.
