# SunSmart Cloud vs BrushCoach

The clearest difference is rating: BrushCoach at 5.0 against SunSmart Cloud's 1.4. SunSmart Cloud's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BrushCoach sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. SunSmart Cloud asks for nothing beyond the download.

BrushCoach holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SunSmart Cloud has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SunSmart Cloud ships an update every 2 months, BrushCoach every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
