# Gregorys Coffee vs Sous

The clearest difference is monetization model: Sous at free against Gregorys Coffee's free with in-app purchases. Sous also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Gregorys Coffee's advantage is ratings volume (16K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sous holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Gregorys Coffee has 16K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Gregorys Coffee ships an update fortnightly, Sous every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
