# Gregorys Coffee vs Cafe de Lyon

The clearest difference is monetization model: Cafe de Lyon at free against Gregorys Coffee's free with in-app purchases. Cafe de Lyon also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Gregorys Coffee's advantage is ratings volume (15K vs 5) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Cafe de Lyon holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Gregorys Coffee has 15K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Gregorys Coffee ships an update fortnightly, Cafe de Lyon monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
