# The Audio Converter vs StrokeInput

The clearest difference is rating: The Audio Converter at 4.6 against StrokeInput's 3.6. The Audio Converter also leads on ratings volume (14K vs 9). StrokeInput's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Audio Converter sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. StrokeInput asks for nothing beyond the download.

The Audio Converter holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Audio Converter has 14K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of The Audio Converter's written reviews are positive against 50% of StrokeInput's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

The Audio Converter ships an update every 2 months, StrokeInput every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
