# InSlideOut vs Delta Chat

The clearest difference is review sentiment: InSlideOut at 100% against Delta Chat's 63%. Delta Chat's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.0) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 10 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Delta Chat holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Delta Chat has 129 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of InSlideOut's written reviews are positive against 63% of Delta Chat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

InSlideOut ships an update every 10 months, Delta Chat every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
