# Pine Cliffs vs Bubble

The clearest difference is rating: Bubble at 4.3 against Pine Cliffs's 3.3. Bubble also leads on ratings volume (111 vs 6) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). Pine Cliffs's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Bubble holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bubble has 111 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Pine Cliffs's written reviews are positive against 39% of Bubble's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pine Cliffs ships an update every 3 months, Bubble every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
