# Pine Cliffs vs The Villages® App

The clearest difference is rating: The Villages® App at 4.6 against Pine Cliffs's 3.3. The Villages® App also leads on ratings volume (13K vs 6) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). Pine Cliffs's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (50% vs 33%). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

The Villages® App holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Villages® App has 13K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Pine Cliffs's written reviews are positive against 33% of The Villages® App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pine Cliffs ships an update every 3 months, The Villages® App every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
