# SquadUP vs REEL Experiences

The clearest difference is rating: REEL Experiences at 5.0 against SquadUP's 2.8. REEL Experiences also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). SquadUP's advantage is update cadence (every 3 months vs every 16 months) and ratings volume (26 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

REEL Experiences holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SquadUP has 26 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SquadUP ships an update every 3 months, REEL Experiences every 16 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
