# Traffic Maps vs Mobile Traffic

The clearest difference is ads: Mobile Traffic at none against Traffic Maps's shown. Mobile Traffic also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 66%) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 17.4). Traffic Maps's advantage is ratings volume (6.5K vs 24). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Traffic Maps sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Mobile Traffic sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mobile Traffic holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Traffic Maps has 6.5K ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 66% of Traffic Maps's written reviews are positive against 100% of Mobile Traffic's.

Traffic Maps ships an update monthly, Mobile Traffic every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
