# mWars vs Bolt Food

The clearest difference is rating: Bolt Food at 4.6 against mWars's 2.3. Bolt Food also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (9.4K vs 9). mWars's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Bolt Food holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bolt Food has 9.4K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 14% of mWars's written reviews are positive against 9% of Bolt Food's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

mWars ships an update every 5 months, Bolt Food fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
