# VMMap vs BOSS811

The clearest difference is rating: BOSS811 at 4.0 against VMMap's 2.8. BOSS811 also leads on ratings volume (189 vs 4). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BOSS811 holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BOSS811 has 189 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of VMMap's written reviews are positive against 43% of BOSS811's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VMMap ships an update every 2 months, BOSS811 monthly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
