# StopWatch for Cross Country vs Event

The clearest difference is price: Event at Free against StopWatch for Cross Country's $1.99. Event also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 58%) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months). StopWatch for Cross Country's advantage is ratings volume (56 vs 1) and rating (4.2 vs 4.0). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Event is free to download; StopWatch for Cross Country costs $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

StopWatch for Cross Country holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: StopWatch for Cross Country has 56 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of StopWatch for Cross Country's written reviews are positive against 100% of Event's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

StopWatch for Cross Country ships an update every 2 months, Event every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
