# Star Walk 2 Pro vs Bright Comets

The clearest difference is price: Bright Comets at Free against Star Walk 2 Pro's $2.99. Bright Comets also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months). Star Walk 2 Pro's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (67K vs 153). On review sentiment, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Bright Comets is free to download; Star Walk 2 Pro costs $2.99 up front. Star Walk 2 Pro sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and Bright Comets sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Star Walk 2 Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Star Walk 2 Pro has 67K ratings behind it against 153, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Star Walk 2 Pro's written reviews are positive against 75% of Bright Comets's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Star Walk 2 Pro ships an update every 2 months, Bright Comets every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
