# Strikingly vs FreeSite

The clearest difference is ads: FreeSite at none against Strikingly's shown. FreeSite also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.5) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Strikingly's advantage is ratings volume (585 vs 43) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 13.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FreeSite holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Strikingly has 585 ratings behind it against 43, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 83% and 83% positive.

Strikingly ships an update every 2 months, FreeSite every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
