# 18Birdies vs Solos

The clearest difference is rating: 18Birdies at 4.9 against Solos's 2.4. 18Birdies also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (306K vs 5). Solos's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 14) and review sentiment (100% vs 74%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 18Birdies sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Solos asks for nothing beyond the download.

18Birdies holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 18Birdies has 306K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of 18Birdies's written reviews are positive against 100% of Solos's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

18Birdies ships an update every 6 days, Solos every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
