# 18Birdies vs GolfPass

The clearest difference is ads: 18Birdies at none against GolfPass's shown. 18Birdies also leads on review sentiment (74% vs 46%) and ratings volume (306K vs 5.5K). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 18Birdies sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and GolfPass sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for 18Birdies against 4.8 for GolfPass. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 18Birdies has 306K ratings behind it against 5.5K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 74% of 18Birdies's written reviews are positive against 46% of GolfPass's.

18Birdies ships an update weekly, GolfPass every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
