# 18Birdies vs Accel Golf

The clearest difference is rating: 18Birdies at 4.9 against Accel Golf's 4.2. 18Birdies also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 4 months). Accel Golf's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 74%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 18Birdies sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Accel Golf sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

18Birdies holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 18Birdies has 306K ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of 18Birdies's written reviews are positive against 100% of Accel Golf's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

18Birdies ships an update weekly, Accel Golf every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
