# Minesweeper vs Lock Rush

The clearest difference is update cadence: Lock Rush at every 2 days against Minesweeper's every 3 months. Lock Rush also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). Minesweeper's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 8). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Minesweeper against 5.0 for Lock Rush. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Minesweeper has 1.2K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 96% of Minesweeper's written reviews are positive against 100% of Lock Rush's.

Minesweeper ships an update every 3 months, Lock Rush every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
