# Minesweeper vs Spinception

The clearest difference is price: Minesweeper at Free against Spinception's $4.99. Minesweeper also leads on ratings volume (1.2K vs 2). Spinception's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and chart position (#155 vs unranked). On rating, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Minesweeper is free to download; Spinception costs $4.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Minesweeper against 5.0 for Spinception. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Minesweeper has 1.2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Minesweeper ships an update every 3 months, Spinception fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
