# Tru vs Livestock Count

The clearest difference is rating: Tru at 4.0 against Livestock Count's 2.5. Tru also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Livestock Count's advantage is review sentiment (40% vs 20%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Tru holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 2 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of Tru's written reviews are positive against 40% of Livestock Count's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tru ships an update every 2 months, Livestock Count every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
