# Tru vs MRCOOL Comfort

The clearest difference is review sentiment: MRCOOL Comfort at 100% against Tru's 20%. MRCOOL Comfort also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (48 vs 4). Tru's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 9 months) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MRCOOL Comfort holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MRCOOL Comfort has 48 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.
