# Walking Distance Tracker vs StepZeno

The clearest difference is rating: StepZeno at 5.0 against Walking Distance Tracker's 4.5. StepZeno also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). Walking Distance Tracker's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (3.1K vs 7). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Walking Distance Tracker sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and StepZeno sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StepZeno holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Walking Distance Tracker has 3.1K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Walking Distance Tracker ships an update every 3 weeks, StepZeno every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
