# Walking Distance Tracker vs Step Up Challenge

Walking Distance Tracker and Step Up Challenge both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Step Up Challenge's written reviews are positive against 42% of Walking Distance Tracker's. Step Up Challenge also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks). Walking Distance Tracker's advantage is ratings volume (3.1K vs 13). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Walking Distance Tracker sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Step Up Challenge sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Step Up Challenge holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Walking Distance Tracker has 3.1K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two.
