# Splat vs TD Snap®

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Splat at 100% against TD Snap®'s 31%. Splat also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and iOS requirement (9.3 vs 13.0). TD Snap®'s advantage is rating (4.1 vs 3.0) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 15 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TD Snap® sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Splat asks for nothing beyond the download.

TD Snap® holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TD Snap® has 873 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Splat's written reviews are positive against 31% of TD Snap®'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Splat ships an update every 15 months, TD Snap® every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
