# The Document Converter vs HTML Viewer Pro
The clearest difference is rating: The Document Converter at 4.7 against HTML Viewer Pro's 3.9. The Document Converter also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (5.9K vs 45). HTML Viewer Pro's advantage is review sentiment (47% vs 36%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.
Both are free to download. The Document Converter sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and HTML Viewer Pro sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
The Document Converter holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Document Converter has 5.9K ratings behind it against 45, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of The Document Converter's written reviews are positive against 47% of HTML Viewer Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
The Document Converter ships an update every 5 months, HTML Viewer Pro every 15 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
