# B vs HiveBloom

The clearest difference is rating: HiveBloom at 4.8 against B's 4.0. HiveBloom also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (287 vs 4). B's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and review sentiment (100% vs 88%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HiveBloom sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. B asks for nothing beyond the download.

HiveBloom holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HiveBloom has 287 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of B's written reviews are positive against 88% of HiveBloom's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

B ships an update every 3 months, HiveBloom fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on June 6, 2026 and August 27, 2026 respectively.
