# Chubbies Shorts vs Taelor

The clearest difference is monetization model: Taelor at free against Chubbies Shorts's free with in-app purchases. Taelor also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 82%). Chubbies Shorts's advantage is ratings volume (6.3K vs 5) and rating (4.9 vs 4.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Chubbies Shorts holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chubbies Shorts has 6.3K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 82% of Chubbies Shorts's written reviews are positive against 100% of Taelor's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Chubbies Shorts ships an update every 3 weeks, Taelor every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
